Yesterday on the left.
Today on the right.

Anoto is a calm to-do list for your Mac, laid out like a paper planner. Every day gets its own page, and yesterday sits right next to today, so you can see what got done and what is still waiting.

$4.99, once. For macOS 15.5 or later.

Anoto showing two notebook pages: Monday with two tasks ticked off and two left open, and Tuesday with five finished tasks and a line for a new one.
Monday’s page is finished and can’t be changed. Tuesday is today, with room for the next task.

A page for every day

Your days stay yours

Anoto has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it never sends anything to me. Your tasks are kept on your Mac, or in your own iCloud account if you use iCloud. I can’t see them, and I don’t want to.

A small price, made to last.

Free apps come and go. Anoto costs $4.99, once – a small price that keeps it going: every future update, and support straight from the person who made it. No subscription, no ads, and your tasks stay with you, on your Mac or in your own iCloud.

Questions

What does it cost?

$4.99, once. Every feature and every update is yours, with no subscription, in-app purchases or ads.

What do I need?

A Mac with macOS Sequoia 15.5 or later. Anoto is a Mac app; there is no iPhone version.

Can I change a task from yesterday?

No. Once a day has passed, its page is read-only, just like a page you’ve already written on. If something is still open, write it again on today’s page.

Can I plan ahead?

Yes. The days ahead are open. Press D to jump to a date, or turn the pages forward, and write your tasks there.

Do my tasks sync between my Macs?

Yes, if you’re signed in to iCloud. Anoto then keeps your pages in your own iCloud account, so they show up on your other Macs with the same Apple Account.

Can I get my tasks out of Anoto?

Yes. Choose File › Export Tasks… (⇧⌘E) to save every day with tasks as a plain Markdown file.
